How long does an event last?
Event duration is variable depending on how much time a company is allocating for an event. Typically, events range from two and half to six hours, start to finish. See our sample agendas (specified by event type) for a breakdown of activities.
Where do the scavenger hunts take place?
One Plus One scavenger hunts typically take place in an area with many shops, stores and restaurants. It may be in a shopping mall or a local community. We are also open to planning events in new areas.
What do participants wear?
Participants should wear walking shoes. Comfortable clothing, for ease of moving around, is recommended. Layers, such as sweaters and jackets, that can be easily taken on and off, will come in handy to accommodate the various activities from dashing between locations to strategizing before moving on to the next location.
How do teams traverse from one location to another?
Currently, all One Plus One scavenger hunts are done on foot. In the future, we plan to partner with other companies allowing scavenger hunts to be via various methods of transport, including but not limited to, on segways, in trolley cars and in limousines.
What should participants bring?
Bring your ready-for-anything attitude. (No, you won’t have to eat worms or walk on a bed of nails.) One Plus One keeps in mind that participation is on a professional level. The extreme nature of your participation is in the form of ‘out of the box’ thinking to solve our clues and some comical poses in some pictures.
Can handicapped persons participate?
Typical One Plus One events are designed for participants that do not have physical limitations that prohibit easily walking to multiple locations, as deciphered from the clues.
If you would like to book a One Plus One event, but want to minimize physical activity, your One Plus One consultant will work with you to plan an event that is suitable to your needs.
What if it rains?
Scheduled events will go on, rain or shine. Participants should be prepared for the weather elements based on the local forecasts.
